Carp fishing: information and bookings

Endine Gaiano

Carp fishing is a sustainable activity included in the Lake Endine tourism enhancement project. Regulations and information for anglers are available online.

The Val Cavallina municipalities have long been committed to environmental protection and preservation as key to their development, placing the promotion and use of natural resources at the centre of a widespread system of hospitality. Recently, as part of its support for this commitment, the Region of Lombardy recognised the valley’s communities as meriting significant resources from the European Community for the creation of an Integrated Area Project aimed at implementing all the resources and opportunities that make the area a tourist destination of particular interest, especially for people who enjoy activities experienced in close contact with nature. Carp fishing represents an undeniably important opportunity for sustainable activities consistent with the Lake Endine improvement project.

Therefore, the lakeside municipalities of Endine Gaiano, Ranzanico, Spinone al Lago and Monasterolo del Castello, in compliance with current legislation on the protection of rivers and lakes, and the regional programming and planning in the territorial and environmental sphere, have issued regulations for the administration of fishing shelters in combination with this fishing activity. The objective of these regulations is to facilitate the use of the lake on the part of users by offering services for a stay in total freedom and, at the same time, in complete comfort while complying with provincial laws. A period of time spent with a fishing shelter on the lake must be considered as an opportunity to “experience”, as temporary residents, the villages around the lake and the entire valley, benefiting from the tourist services available (catering, routes, guides, educational services, etc.) and utilising local knowledge and valley traditions in the field of fishing.

As a result, P.U.C.A. (Punto Unico Concessione Attendamento, Consolidated Organisation for Fishing Shelter Concessions) was formed, with headquarters at the Casa del Pescatore (Fisherman’s House) and administrative management entrusted to COOPERATIVA SOCIALE L’INNESTO ONLUS Social Cooperative.

The administrative activities regard:
Collection of security deposits
Receipt of applications
Issue of concessions
Collection of income from daily fees for station use
Collection of capture forms
Collection of penalties specified in the regulations
For the stations located in the Casa del Pescatore park (n° 16, 17, 18), in addition to the fee specified in the regulations (article XII), a fee of € 7.00 is due for the internal car parking service, equipped pitch, 10 m of shore space for fishing, shower, power socket
